“Conditions” means these terms and conditions, “product” means a product displayed for sale on the website, “we, “us”, “our” means Baker Street Studios, “you”, “your” means the user of this website, “working days” means all days other than Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Use of website
Access
You are provided with access to this website in accordance with these Conditions and any orders placed by you must be placed strictly in accordance with these Conditions.
Registration
When you register with baker-street-studios.com, you will be required to choose a contact email address and password. You are responsible for all sessions and transactions taken under these details. You should keep your password safe and not disclose it to anyone. You should change it immediately if you feel it has been compromised.
You warrant that the personal information provided when you register as a customer is true, accurate, current and complete in all aspects, and you will notify us immediately if any of your details change. You may update your details by signing into your account on the Baker Street Studios website.
You agree not to impersonate any other person or entity or to use a false name or a name you are not authorised to use.
Indemnity
You agree fully to indemnify, defend and hold us, and our officers, directors, employees and suppliers, harmless immediately on demand, from and against all claims, liability, damaged, losses, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of any breach of the Conditions by you or any other liabilities arising out of your use of this website, or the use by any other person accessing the website using your shopping account and/or your personal information.
Restrictions
By creating an account you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
In placing an order you confirm that you are aware of any age restrictions on these products and assert that you are old enough to purchase them.

In some instances we may decline to deliver parcels to PO addresses. We will contact you if we consider the delivery address provided to be a problem.
All orders are made subject to these terms and conditions.
The contract between us
Your contract for purchases made through baker-street-studios.com is with Baker Street Studios Ltd, whose registered office is situated at Endeavour House, 170 Woodland Road, Sawston, Cambridgeshire, CB22 3DX
When placing an order, you agree that any and all information given is accurate and complete.
All orders are subject to acceptance and product availability.
No contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and Baker Street Studios until payment of the whole of the price for the goods ordered has been received.
Once an order has been received Baker Street Studios will confirm that your order has been received by sending an email to you.
This confirmation email will be sent to the email address given in your order form and will detail products ordered, order number and the total price (including p&p).
Baker Street Studios acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms.
Any term sought to be imposed by you in your order will not form part of the contract.
You must check all the details on this confirmation email are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect.
Baker Street Studios are entitled to withdraw from any contract in the case of obvious errors or inaccuracies regarding the goods appearing on our website.
If an error or inaccuracy is discovered with regards to the advertised price of the goods that you have ordered, we will contact you as soon as possible by email. This will be to inform you of the correct price of the goods, and to ask you if you wish to continue with the order at the amended price, or to cancel the order altogether. If we are unable to contact you or we receive no reply from you, we will cancel your order.
Baker Street Studios reserve the right to change prices listed without notice.
Baker Street Studios reserves the right to refuse to supply to any individual or company.
Withdrawal by you from the contract
If you are an individual and are not buying goods on behalf of a business, there are certain circumstances in which you may withdraw from the contract and these are set out here. This right to withdraw does not apply to business buyers.
- You may withdraw your order for goods at any time up to the end of the twenty first working day after you have received the goods. You do no need to give Baker Street Studios any reason for withdrawing your order nor will you have to pay any penalty.
- The only circumstances in which you cannot withdraw your order is where you have taken the goods you have ordered (or the ones in relation to which you want to withdraw) out of the sealed package in which they were delivered or in the case of audio, video, DVD recordings, music CDs or computer software where the holographic seal and/or shrink-wrap has been unsealed by you.
- To withdraw your order you must notify Baker Street Studios in writing at the registered address of the company.
- If you have received the goods before you withdraw your order, then you must send them back to the Baker Street Studios return address at your own cost and risk, unless the goods were supplied faulty or damaged. If you withdraw your order but Baker Street Studios have already processed the goods for despatch and you have yet to receive them, you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to Baker Street Studios return address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
- Once you have notified Baker Street Studios that you are withdrawing your order, any sum debited to Baker Street Studios from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order being returned and received by Baker Street Studios.
Availability of goods you order
If Baker Street Studios have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, we will notify you as soon as possible and any sum debited by Baker Street Studios from your payment method will be re-credited to your account and Baker Street Studios will notify you by email at the address given by you in your order form. The refund will be made as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order. Baker Street Studios will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details and availabilities of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although we aim to keep the website as up-to-date as possible, the information including product descriptions, prices and availability at a particular time may not reflect the position exactly at the moment you place an order. Please note that the price the goods are offered for tender are as displayed in the shopping basket.
Delivery of goods to you
The delivery period stated within which you will receive your order is approximate based upon availability, normal processing and delivery companies.
Goods will be sent to the person and the address given by you in your order. If you are ordering more than one item, your goods may be sent to you in installments if certain items are out of stock.
If your delivery address is outside of the UK, you may have to pay import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You must meet any additional charges for customs clearance.
It is accepted by you that Baker Street Studios has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance.
Please note, customs policies vary widely from country to country. We recommend you contact your local customs office for further information.
Please note international shipments may be subject to cross-border inspections by customs authorities.
You will become the owner of the goods you have ordered when the goods are despatched to you by Baker Street Studios.
Payment
Baker Street Studios accepts payment by ApplePay, Paypal and Stripe through which you can also pay by Visa, Mastercard and American Express credit and debit cards.
All product prices and delivery charges are shown in UK pounds sterling.
Prices
Although we make every effort to ensure the prices on the website are correct, mistakes may sometime be made. If we discover a mistake in the price of the products you have ordered prior to their despatch, we will contact you and give you the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling your order. If we do not receive a reply we will cancel your order. Baker Street Studios will not be obliged to offer any compensation for disappointment suffered.
Returns and credits
Products can be returned under the following conditions:
- The item must be returned within 30 days of receipt
- Books must be in unused (re-saleable) condition
- CDs and DVDs must be returned with their seal or shrink-wrap intact
- Any other item must be returned in new condition (with the exception of used items such as rare and secondhand books) with its original packaging and accessories (eBooks and audiobook downloads by their nature cannot be returned).
By post in accordance with the following procedure:
Repackage the products securely and send the products together with the reason for return, a copy of the invoice/delivery note, your email address, order number and instructions as whether you would like a refund or a replacement. The returns address can be found on the paperwork that arrives with your order or by referring to the returns section on this website.
Returns by post are made at your risk and your cost. We recommend that you use an insured registered mail service as returns not received by us cannot be credited to you.
Refunds will be credited to the same payment method used for the order, but please note that any transaction fees e.g. on credit card payments are not refundable.
Replacement Goods
If you receive an incorrect or damaged item from us, please return it to us within 30 days of receipt for a full refund or exchange. We will refund the cost of return postage for any error on our part.
Goods lost in transit
For deliveries to any UK address please allow 10 working days, or 28 days for other locations, from the date of despatch. If after that time your goods have not arrived, please contact us. Please note that all goods are either tracked or for small orders sent with a certificate of posting. If an item is lost in transit it is understood that the customer’s claim is against the courier company and NOT Baker Street Studios. If lost in transit Baker Street Studios will be happy to process a claim against the courier at no extra cost, and will pass on any compensation received to the customer.
Privacy
We treat all your personal information as confidential (although we reserve the right to disclose this information in the circumstances set out below).
When you shop on the website, we will ask you to input and will collect personal information from you such as your name, email address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product selections and a password. We may also collect information about where you are on the internet (eg the URL you came from, IP address, domain types likes .co.uk and .com) your browser type, the country your computer is located, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit, the advertisement you click on, and any search terms that you entered on our website (‘User Information’). We may collect this information even if you do not register with us.
You should be aware that this site is being monitored and any capture information about your visit that will help us improve the quality of our service. We use your information only for the following purposes:

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your personal information and/or user information, we are entitled to do so.
We use cookies to keep track of your current shopping session to personalise your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping basket at any time. If you do not accept cookies you will be unable to use this website.

Promotional discount codes
We may occasionally offer discount codes to customers. Discount codes are exclusive of online postage and packaging and can only be used as specified on the individual discount code. Discount codes cannot be used retrospectively and cannot be used with any other voucher, coupon or offer. We reserve the right to withdraw codes at any time.
Force majeure
Baker Street Studios shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Entire agreement
These terms and conditions, together with the current Baker Street Studios website prices, delivery details and Baker Street Studios’ contact details, set out the whole of our agreement relating to the supply of the goods to you by Baker Street Studios. Any changes to these conditions must be in writing and signed by both parties. In this way, we can avoid any problems surrounding what Baker Street Studios and you are expected to do. You confirm that, in agreeing to accept the conditions, you have not relied on any representation save insofar as the same has expressly been made a term of these conditions and you agree that you shall have no remedy in respect of any representation. Your statutory rights are not affected by these terms and conditions. Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude our liability in respect of any fraudulent or negligent misrepresentation whether or not such has become a term of the conditions.
Law
The conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

More on Refunds and Returns
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:
- Book with obvious signs of use
- CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened.
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Please note that any transaction fees e.g. paid to credit cards are not refundable.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Other Information
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item please contact us.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
More on Delivery
It usually takes around 24 hours to get your Baker Street Studio item(s) ready to send. Once they are ready, we will dispatch them from our warehouse. The delivery times given are from date of dispatch, not from when you place your order.
Can I change my delivery address after I’ve ordered?
Unfortunately once the order is placed and acknowledged you will be unable to change the delivery address.
Shipping Cost
Total shipping cost will be automatically calculated during checkout based on total order weight and destination. Please note that all items are assigned a minimum weight of 100g in order for this calculation to be made e.g. a bookmark might actually has a weight of 10g but to this must be added the weight of the packaging material so a minimum of 100g is assigned to all orders.
Delivery Times
These vary greatly from country to country. From experience most problems occur with the Netherlands where it commonly takes two weeks for a small packet to be delivered. For shipping to the United States and Canada the expected delivery time is stated as 5-7 working days but often small packets are found to be held up in customs for extended periods (despite the correct customs declaration being used). We have also found that deliveries to the United States despite being sent via airmail sometimes, due to an error at the post office, actually go via surface mail. Finally there seems to be a large difference in delivery times to the United States depending on where the items are to be delivered e.g. the Royal Mail tends to send all deliveries to an Eastern airport hub such as New York or Boston very quickly from where they are sent on via road or train even if air would be the natural choice for a destination in say Los Angeles.
Please note that our responsibility for your order ends once we have delivered it to the mailing agent (Royal Mail/courier service) although your item is insured so that in the event of a loss/damage you will get a full refund or replacement item but this is subject to the policies of the Royal Mail/courier used. We will always help and make the claim on your behalf but depending on the mailing agent the time involved varies from a few days to weeks e.g. Royal Mail will only recognise an item as having been lost after 25 working days from the day of posting.
