Description
“From the point of view of the criminal expert,” said Mr. Sherlock Holmes, “London has become a singularly uninteresting city since the death of the late lamented Professor Moriarty.”
The Adventure of the Norwood Builder was first published in November 1903 in The Strand Magazine forming part of The Return of Sherlock Holmes. The adventure is actually set in 1894 and involves Holmes investigating the apparent murder of Jonas Oldacre by John Hector McFarlane. Although it does not have a railway theme per se there is a connection in that a vital clue is provided to Holmes on a train.
