Issued on the 15th September 2005 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of ITV these unique covers specially designed for the Society have all been signed by Colin Dexter.
The Type A cover has the full set of six stamps featuring Inspector Morse, Emmerdale, Rising Damp, The Avengers, The South Bank Show and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Incudes the special Oxford cancellation featuring a television on which is seen the dreaming spires of Oxford and a fingerprint representing crime. Signed by Colin Dexter. Limited edition of 100 signed covers.
The Type B cover has two Inspector Morse stamps with a double hand stamp. First there is the special Oxford cancellation featuring a television on which is seen the dreaming spires of Oxford and a fingerprint representing crime, and then to make this item unique there is also the hand stamp of the Inspector Morse Society depicting Morse’s famous Jaguar.
